A Special Message
for Students and Educators. NI Multisim Student Edition 10.0 Now
Available!
National Instruments Electronics Workbench Group
is pleased to announce the release of NI Multisim Student Edition. The
student edition combines our easy-to-use schematic capture, powerful
analyses and interactive SPICE simulation with features to help students
learn fundamental electrical engineering topics more
easily. Students can now prepare for design projects, laboratories and
better understand homework assignments by creating circuits of up to 50
components choosing from a database of nearly 4000 components.
NI Multisim 10.0 Student Edition also includes microcontroller simulation with NI Multisim MCU Module and layout and routing features.

Tip of the Month
One of my favorite features in NI Multisim 10.0 is the ability to natively read and write data to the LabVIEW measurement (LVM) file format. This allows you to integrate simulation data of board-level designs, with the acquired output of real hardware, via NI LabVIEW applications.
This interaction between Multisim and LabVIEW opens many possibilities for advanced signal analysis, most notably the ability to compare a prototyped design to theoretical simulated output. To make this task easier for the user, Multisim re-samples the simulation data by interpolating it from uneven simulated data to evenly sampled measurements that can be written to the LVM format.
